Description

Dreamer was Sadgirl's late boyfriend, and his memory is the cause of much of her heartache. He spent his life daydreaming and would often lose himself in thoughts, whether at school, hanging with the Homies at the park, or lying with his head in Sadgirl's lap. His mind would take him to places he enjoyed, often becoming deeply immersed in his imagination. Dreamer was also a talented muralist, creating vibrant art that told powerful stories. His murals featured Aztec history, Mexican revolutionary heroes like Villa and Zapata, scenes from Chicano history like Cesar Chavez and the United Farmworkers strike, and the Homies cruising on the Boulevard. Above all, Dreamer loved painting his beloved Virgin of Guadalupe and Jesucristo.    Tragically, Dreamer’s life was cut short by a senseless act of violence in a drive-by shooting. His legacy lives on in the Barrio, where his murals still adorn the walls. The Homies honor him by pouring a beer for him on the pavement. Dreamer's loss was especially hard on Sadgirl, leaving an irreplaceable void.     As for Big Dopey, he doesn't mind the nickname—he sees it as "con cariño," with love. He’s a steady presence, much like his cousin Zack from Albuquerque, known for his award-winning '64 Impala. But if Big Dopey ever found out he had a toy named after him, he might just come to Cali to have a word with the creator. Big Dopey’s got a special place in my heart, and he deserves your love and respect, Homies.
