Zombie wasn't always known by that name. Before his life changed forever, he was one of the sharpest-looking Homies in the neighbourhood, admired for his style and confident personality.
Everything changed after he visited La Gitana's shop on Venice Beach hoping to receive lucky lottery numbers. Instead, she handed him a mysterious liquid from an old jar. Believing it would reveal his fortune, Zombie drank it without hesitation, only to discover it carried a powerful curse.
Bound by La Gitana's Voodoo magic, he became one of the walking dead. Although transformed, Zombie never completely lost hope. Deep inside, he still dreams of breaking the curse and becoming the person he once was.
Today, Zombie drives a customised lowrider hearse, working for the local undertaker by transporting the departed throughout the neighbourhood. His eerie appearance may frighten some people, but those who know his story understand that beneath the curse remains the same Homie searching for another chance at life.
Collectors appreciate Zombie because he introduces supernatural folklore into the Homies universe while remaining connected to the neighbourhood's ongoing stories. His distinctive design, haunting backstory and custom hearse make him one of the most iconic characters in Series 9.
