Alien Ese appeared one day, on the run and with a wild story. He claimed the men in black were after him. According to Alien Ese, he’d been in hiding in Roswell, New Mexico, since 1947 when his spaceship crashed in the desert. While many of his companions perished in the crash, he survived and lived quietly as a chilero in Chimayo. Eventually, someone tipped him off, and he made his way to East L.A. By then, he was fluent in Spanish and thought he could blend in with the locals.    The Homies took pity on him, recognizing the struggles of immigrant families, and welcomed him into the fold. They taught him the ways of the barrio—how to dress, how to walk, and how to talk like a true Homie.
