Gremlin is the Homie nobody wants nearby when something important needs to go according to plan. Wherever he appears, machines stop working, journeys become complicated and ordinary situations somehow turn into frustrating disasters.
Standing in the same supermarket queue as Gremlin usually means the cash register is about to break. Riding with him on the freeway seems to attract the attention of highway patrol officers, while inviting him to an event often leads to delays, cancellations or unexpected technical problems.
His reputation extends across the neighbourhood. Cars mysteriously refuse to start, power disappears from shopping centres and performers suddenly become unavailable whenever Gremlin is nearby. The Homies cannot prove that he causes these problems, but the pattern happens often enough that few are willing to dismiss it as coincidence.
Despite the bad luck associated with him, Gremlin remains part of the neighbourhood. His character exaggerates the familiar idea that some people seem to attract trouble without intentionally doing anything wrong.
Collectors appreciate Gremlin because his unlucky reputation brings supernatural-style humour to Series 8. His recognisable personality and ability to turn any normal situation into chaos make him an entertaining addition to the wider Homies collection.
Gremlin may be available in new or pre-owned condition, with original-bag options on selected listings. Review the chosen condition and packaging option before purchasing.
