Adelita is one of the most driven and community-focused Homegirls in Homies Series 8. Raised in Barrio Quien Sabe, she worked closely with El Profe to secure the scholarships and grants that made it possible for her to attend UCLA.
Now in her junior year, Adelita is studying Political Science with a minor in Chicano Studies. Her education is not only about building a successful future for herself; she wants to understand the systems affecting her community and use that knowledge to create opportunities for others.
Her nickname honours the Adelitas, the courageous women who fought during the Mexican Revolution and became celebrated figures in traditional corridos. Like the women who inspired her name, Adelita believes in standing up for her community and challenging barriers that prevent young people from progressing.
She regularly encourages Chicana and Latina high school students to consider college, apply for financial support and believe that higher education is within reach. After graduating, Adelita plans to return to Barrio Quien Sabe and continue helping young Homies find their own paths towards education and long-term success.
Collectors appreciate Adelita because she continues the education and mentorship themes established through El Profe, Schoolboy and Mija. Her determination, cultural pride and commitment to giving back make her one of the strongest positive role models in Series 8.
Adelita may be available in new or pre-owned condition, with original-bag options on selected listings. Review the chosen condition and packaging option before ordering.
