Guppy has one of the funniest and most unusual origin stories in the entire Homies collection. According to neighbourhood legend, he was born exactly nine months after his parents returned from a camping trip in California's beautiful Sierra Mountains.
While exploring the area, they discovered a quiet swimming hole filled with thousands of tiny neon guppies. Hoping to cool off, they jumped into the crystal-clear water, where the little fish surrounded them, gently nibbling at their skin in what felt like a relaxing natural massage. The unforgettable moment became part of Homies folklore.
Nine months later, Guppy was born—and everyone was shocked. Doctors, nurses and even his own family couldn't help noticing that the little Homie looked remarkably like one of the tiny guppies from the mountain stream.
As Guppy grew older, his unusual appearance became part of his charm. Rather than letting the nickname bother him, he embraced it with confidence, becoming another unique personality that helped make Barrio Quien Sabe such a colourful place.
Collectors enjoy Guppy because his humorous backstory perfectly captures the playful storytelling that has made the Homies series so popular for decades. His distinctive design ensures he stands out in every Series 10 collection.
