Half a Homie is one of the most emotional and inspiring characters in the Homies collection. A gifted songwriter and performer, he rose from difficult beginnings to become a successful recording artist, selling out concerts and earning recognition across the country.
Behind the fame, however, lies a story of friendship and loss. His stage name honours his closest friend and music partner, Z-Mix, whose tragic death changed his life forever. Half a Homie often says that no amount of success can replace the bond they shared, and that a part of him will always be missing.
His career finally took off after Payday Records recognised his talent and helped launch his first album. While the success brought wealth, popularity and opportunities, it also reminded him of the price paid along the way. Rather than celebrating fame alone, Half a Homie uses his story to remind others that loyalty and genuine friendships are worth far more than money or celebrity.
Today, he continues performing while honouring the memory of Z-Mix through his music. His journey adds another powerful chapter to the Homies universe, connecting with other music-related characters including Payday, Jokawild, Jokachild, Mastablasta and the wider Homie Records family.
Collectors appreciate Half a Homie because his story balances success with humility, reminding us that true friendship is one of life's greatest treasures.
