Cuco gets his nickname from "Cucaracha," the Spanish word for cockroach, thanks to his large, bulging eyes and his smooth, sneaky personality. Around the barrio, everyone knows that if Cuco is joining a card game, it's best to keep a close eye on your hand.
He's famous for finding creative ways to bend the rules. Whether it's sneaking a look at someone else's dominoes, keeping score during a card game or acting as the banker in Monopoly, Cuco always seems to discover a way to give himself an advantage. The Homies know better than to leave him in charge, but they still invite him because his antics usually end with everyone laughing.
Despite his mischievous reputation, Cuco is a loyal Homie and great company once the games are over. He prefers the quiet of the night, avoiding bright daylight whenever possible, and he's never one to waste food. Leftover pizza, stale chips or yesterday's snacks Cuco is happy to make sure nothing goes to waste.
Collectors enjoy Cuco because he brings humour and playful mischief to the Homies universe. His distinctive appearance and unforgettable personality make him one of the most entertaining characters in Series 9.
