Every Homies family has someone who brings everyone together, and for the neighbourhood, that person is Abuelita. As Bobby Loco's beloved grandmother, she has spent a lifetime caring for her family and the Homies, welcoming everyone into her home with warm food, heartfelt advice and unconditional love.
Abuelita is famous for her traditional home cooking. She still makes fresh tortillas by hand and prepares classic Mexican favourites including chile, frijoles, lengua and tripas. No Homie ever leaves her table hungry, and if someone refuses a second helping, she takes it as a personal challenge to convince them otherwise.
Although she has a gentle heart, Abuelita is also known for her fiery personality when the situation calls for it. The Homies joke that she can throw a tortilla rolling pin with incredible accuracy, reminding everyone that respect is always expected in her home.
Deeply devoted to her faith, Abuelita prays daily to La Virgen de Guadalupe, asking for protection over Bobby Loco, Hollywood, Smiley, Pelon and the entire neighbourhood. More than a grandmother, she serves as a second mother to many of the Homies, offering comfort, wisdom and hope during difficult times.
Collectors appreciate Abuelita because she represents family, tradition, faith and unconditional love. Her strong connections to Bobby Loco and many of the original Homies make her one of the most important community figures introduced in Series 7.
