He’s out there walking for miles under the hot sun, making sure you get the ice cream and popsicles you crave. A few years ago, he came to America with a mission—to make enough money to bring his grandkids over from Mexico.    Back in his home country, his family were ranchers, but years of drought wiped out their livestock and their way of life. Faced with a tough choice, El Paletero decided he couldn’t sit by and watch his family suffer in poverty.
