Oso, meaning "bear" in Spanish, is the tough leader of the local gang in the barrio. He doesn’t say much, but his intimidating presence speaks volumes. He’s often seen with other hard-edged Homies like Veterano, Angel, Mosca, and Sharky. While the focus is on handling gang-related issues sensitively, gangs are a part of the barrio and do have a presence. The goal is to show that while gangs exist, they are only a small aspect of the community, not its core. Through these characters, we aim to educate viewers on the difference between hardcore gangsters and the broader Homie culture, using real-life figures from the neighborhood to convey an anti-gang message to young audiences.
