Poor Syco. He used to be just another regular Vato, a huge Raiders fan. Over the years, though, the team’s constant disappointments have slowly driven him to the edge. Year after year, he’s rooted for them, bet on them, talked smack about how they were going to make it to the Super Bowl—only to watch them lose, time after time. Raider Syco blames everything on the refs, convinced that the Football League and the referees are part of some conspiracy against the legendary Al Davis.     Syco’s Raider buddies can’t even take him to the games anymore; things went downhill when the Patriots beat the Raiders with that controversial “Tuck Rule” call in the playoffs. He lost it completely after that, now lashing out at anyone not wearing Raiders gear. His friends still bring him to the tailgate parties, but they’ve learned to chain him to a pole during the game to keep him out of the stadium. They figure he’s safest there. Maybe one day the Raiders (the official team of the Homies) will finally win that Super Bowl, and Syco will go back to being his old self. Until then, it’s just another season of disappointment.
